I structure my yoga classes as a physical, mental and energetic journey, usually built around a particular theme. Classes feature mindful sequencing with an emphasis on breath and movement and cultivating the ability to use one’s own sensations as a guide to find greater ease in the poses. I try to include meditation and mindfulness practices in each of them.
I love working with beginners and those who feel that their bodies “can’t do yoga.” As someone who is on the tighter side of flexibility without great coordination, my approach is gentle and inclusive. I also enjoy teaching Kids Yoga (ages 4-15). My aim is to help students develop a practical and fulfilling yoga practice that they can carry with them through the rest of their lives, no matter their age, health or level of fitness. I am currently teaching closed classes for kids and adults at Gould Farm and Berkshire South Community Learning Center in The Berkshires, MA.
